Dear teachers and classmates, good morning! Today, the theme of our speech is “Save food, start from ourselves”.
According to a recent report released by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, There are at least 820 million people face hunger. That’s equivalent to one in nine people in the world going hungry. Particularly in this year, the impact of drought, floods, locust plagues and COVID-19 outbreaks has made food shortages worldwide more severe. China is a large traditional agricultural country. Although the grain output has increased annually in recent years, the per capita grain supply has been at a low level for a long time. So we should raise the food crisis consciousness, for the stability of the society and the development.
The nutrition allocation of food prepared by the school is reasonable, so we should cherish every meal we have. When you eat, don’t be picky. This can not only make our body get comprehensive nutrition, but also can save food, kill two birds with one stone.
Being economical is a kind of virtue, cultivation, also wisdom. Save resources, live a healthy life, let’s start from saving food!
